Abstract:

The effect of fuel temperature on diesel engine performance is studied by the way of experiments on an electronic unit pump turbocharged diesel engine, so as to provide the basis of revision for the control of electric system parameters. The experimental results indicate that the injecting pressure of diesel engine and injected fuel mass can linearly reduce, along with the increase of the fuel temperature. At the same time, the max combustion pressure linearly reduces, main combustion period in the cylinder can linearly increase. At last, the effective power and exhaust temperature and intake pressure can linearly reduce. The effective rate of fuel consumption can linearly increase.
