Numerical Analysis on the Damage Evolution in Spallation of Ductile Materials

Abstract: The variation of void number density distriDution,the relation between the variation and the stress history in damage evolution of spallation of ductile materials ana the space distribution of void number were analyzed numerically and qualitatively. The influences of the nucleated void sizes and some modeling parameters on the free surface velocity, the space distribution of void number, as well as the damage evolution in spallation were also investigated and discussed. In addition, the effect of the voia nucleation and its growth at different times on the damage were also investigated and analyzed.
