Generalized method of the dynamic analysis of mechanical system was used for tracked vehicle steering performance, and global coordinates, relative coordinates and body-fixed coordinates were built up to describe the motion and relations between the tracked-vehicle and ground. The factors, such as the cen?trifugal force etc. to vehicle steering performance, were considered and analyzed to acquire a dynamic model of tracked vehicle on hard level ground, and the corresponding digital simulation carried out. The compari?son of low speed steering result between digital simulation and field tests was made which indicated that the mathematical model is acceptable, while the high speed steering performance with centrifugal force effect is compared to that without centrifugal force effect, to represent the importance of centrifugal force for high speed steering response.

In combination of theory with test, the fatigue life oi the tank gear box was estimated by the action of the load spectrum and then the life of the gear box was greatly increased using the thread hole op?timization coia-extruded strengthening technology based on the load spectrum. Being different from the tra?ditional life estimation, tlie formula of the long-period fatigue life was established on the basis of the Weibull σ-N curve formula and linear fatigue damage accumulative law. Through the life estimation with the formu?la, the result and test of life estimation are conformed with the real application. According to the theory analysis and test result, the load spectrum is the most important basic data for the reliability design and reli?ability increasement of tanks.

Ablation-capillaries plasma generator is a basic composition element in an electrothermal launching system. For a standard ablated material—polyethylene, one dimentional governing equations for the plasma generator were established and solved with the MacCormack explicit-implicit method. Charac?teristic parameters of discharge and the process of one-dimensional flow in the plasma generator were calcu?lated. Through experiments the hypothesis and model were confirmed. This model can be used for forecast?ing the performance of the plasma generator.

Based on the conclusion that a trajectory can be determined through a measurement of the minimum velocity (Vmin) and the time (tVmin)of the minimum velocity point on its trajectory, and a trajec?tory susceptivity system was thus built up. A micro-controller is used as the core of the system. A MEMS pressure transducer is employed to sense the air pressure applied on the shell top. This pressure value is con?verted to the axial velocity of the shell. A timer inside the micro controller is used for the precise timing to determine tVmin, Under the control of the microcontroller,a correction value is obtained, and a signal is provided to the trajectory correction system. The trajectory susceptivity system is proved to be feasible both in theory and practice by wind tunnel experiments performed under several Mach numbers.

The main task of an anti tactical ballistic missile lies in intercepting tactical ballistic missiles. High relative speed of the missile and target and the small radar cross-section of the tactical ballistic missile greatly intensify the difficulty oi interception. The air-intercept ability of a high-speed fragments warhead equipped with side-looking fuze and the limitations in the choice of fuze parameters and the design under the condition of high-speed encounter were introduced. The difficulty in joining low speed fragments warhead with side-looking fuze as well as the application of guidance integrated fuze technology were proposed. Time delay fuzing algorithm and the selection of beginning point in GIF technology were also discussed.

Filter back-projection (FBP) reconstruction algorithm is adopted by fan-beam industrial CT systems. This algorithm requires the center of rotation of the scan inspection platform to be identical with the reconstruction center of the FBP algorithm. This requirement is hardly satisfied in full under the accu?racy restriction of the scanning system. Consequently a kind of artifact called double-shadow exhibits itself in reconstruction images. A method of correction is presented to reduce the artifacts. The validity of the method is verified by computer simulation results and experiments. This method is valuable to the debug?ging of industrial CT scanning systems.

When the numerical aperture of a lens is fixed,it is important to select the correct CCD inte?gration time in order to improve the imaging quality of a micro imaging system and enhance the reconnais?sance ability of micro air vehicles. The main factors affecting the CCD integration time were analyzed. A study was made on the relationship between the CCD integration time of a micro imaging system used in MAVs ana its image smear, and a mathematical model to calculate and analyze the image smear was estab?lished. The model is used for evaluating the quality of moving images captured in different CCD integration time. The experimental results indicate that when the image smear is limited to a single pixel, high quality moving images can be obtained on the condition that the exposure is appropriate.

Research and experiments into limited resolution of EBCCD have been done to test it. Rules in EBCCD imaging for resolution chart (stripe pattern) of different frequencies have been found. It is possible to output stripe pattern images even if the frequency of input chart is higher than the Nyquist limiting fre?quency of the system (the phenomenon of aliasing) ? It can be explained by the frequency spectrum. Modu?lation transfer function has been tested. It shows that EBCCD system has a certain imaging ability for a high frequency image (higher than the Nyquist frequency). This provides the possibility of the EBCCD sys?tem in imaging for the resolution chart of a high frequency.

After compar?ing among the Luenberger observer, Utkm observer, Walcott-Zak observer and synthetic sliding observer, the paper makes use of the synthetic sliding observer successfully to estimate the pitch angle rate of a missile when the missile attacks a tank target. Simulation results show that the observed curve is very similar to the real variable. Synthetic sliding observer can effectively observe the state of missile whose dynamic parame?ters are time-varying and uncertain, and the design of the observer is simple and can be realized easily.

A physical F. E model for the hybrid fiber-reinforced composite laminates composed of Glass-2 /Twaron750 fiber and PC matrix under ballistic impact loading has been built up on the basis of experimen- tal results. In this model, the deformation of target and the effect of all parts of hybrid laminates have been considered. The calculation praxis include the following three cases, viz. : (I) when the interlaminate con?joint force have been considered; (2) when the interlaminate conjoint force have not been considered, yet the interlaminate contact have been considered;(3) when the thermal effect have been considered. The nu?merical simulation results by this model agreed well with both the experimental performance and the experi?mental values, especially in case (3) ? It is of engineering significance to understand the role of each part of composite laminates on the ballistic resistibility, and to optimize the structure of target in engineering.

Two-axle bending technique is a Kind of advanced manufacturing process for bending tubular parts, especially suitable for difficult-to-work metallic materials with high specific strength, and it can at?tain a fine forming accuracy. The technique has been applied to bend split-sleeve and missile body cylinders successfully. Existing theory on the technique can guide engineering practice to some extent, but there still remain some shortages in it. In this paper, previous work about the theoretical formula oi bending spring- back has been reviewed and summarized, and the difference between the theoretical and the practical results analyzed. On the basis of this using the radius and the feed of the rigid axle which are the main factors of influence on the radius of curvature after springback, a modified bending springback formula has been ob?tained and an example of calculation given. It is shown that the modified theoretical springback results fit well with the experimental results, so the formula given in this paper is of practical use.

When fusing multi-sensor measurements of dissimilar precisions, the weighted mean method was often used. An optimal fusion method was proposed for multi-sensor measurements. Based on the opti?mal fusion of multi-sensors, applied to optimization theory and the least square principle, the movement of objective is described by the B-spline with optimal knots. Thus the approximation process is adaptively fit for the track of moving target with high velocity. Results of calculation show that the optimal knots spline method evidently excels the differential coefficient smoothing method or the isometry knots smoothing method .

Using the truncated expansion method, solution of (2 + I)-dimensional variable coefucient Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation was discussed. In this method, the formal solution was presented as the power series of some function. Through balancing the highest differential term and nonlinear term, the truncated solution was obtained. This suggested method is simple and easy, and the complicated calculation is transformed into a set of algebraic equations of undetermined functions, leading easily to the integration of ordinary differential equations of undetermined functions. The soliton-nke solution to the (2 + I)- dimen?sional variable coefficient KP equation can thus be constructed.

The response of stress gauges emoedded in shock-loaded materials is important in the field of dynamic measurement. Variation of yield strength with shock pressure of iou-like manganin gauges can be determined by analyzing their dynamic calibration curve. The analysis was based on the assumption that the material behaves as an elastoplastic work- hardened solid ana on the general expression for the resistance change of manganin derived by Rosenberg L and Partom Y. In the present paper was given the dynamic yield strength of the foil-like manganin gauge for shock stress in the range of 1. 5 ?9. OuPa by planar shock wave experiments.

This shortens the fuzzy control section, widens the strong scale control section and the keeping control sec?tion in the early period of rinse oil phase and low pressure phase. And it shortens the strong scale control section and the keeping control section, widens the fuzzy control section in the period of mixed pressure phase and high pressure keeping phase to exert fully the function of adjusting the controller for oil pressure, it can thus achieve the aim of improving the shift quality. Moreover, the feed forward unit has the stated prefiguring character, it can shorten the shift time.

The relationship between the density and lifetime of film capacitors, the present day level of capacitor production and the trend of density development in the world were analysed. Dry metallized ca?pacitors are proposed to be used as the energy storage element. According to the request on the lifetime of an electromagnetic launcher, a resonable lifetime target of high energy density capacitors was put forward.

A comparative study investigating different penetration performances and microstructure de?velopment was presented m this paper when hollow projectiles made of 35LrMnSi and bainite steel impacted A3 steel plates. Powder gun was used to carry out normal impact tests at a velocity range of 600 ?800m/s. It was founa that thickening, mass erosion and adiabatic shear bands exist in each projectile. Development and distribution of adiabatic shear bands determine the deformation and erosion of projectiles. There were microvoids and microcracks in ASBs of bainite steel and microcracks in those of 35CrMnSi. Microhardness of ASBs in both steel projectiles were about 30% higher than those of matrix. At the same striking velocities (800m/s),35LrMnSi and bainite steel projectiles have similar ballistic performances. 35UrMnSi is de?formed or eroded less in comparison with bainite steel, due to its relatively higher strength. Bainite steel can be used as a material for projectiles.

A novel contactless synchronous transmission of power and information for fuzes was intro?duced. The dynamic synchronous transmission of power and information between the fire control system and fuzes can be realized through detachable transformer. The capacitance works as the store of power and the electrical source of fuzes, and a very high power serves as the signal itself. Then the circuits of power and information transmission were described respectively.

A kind of midcourse guidance law was studied based on neural network. The midcourse guid?ance law is suitable to be used in comomed guidance in which proportional navigation law is used in the ter?minal guidance. Training samples were provided by designing optimal guidance law which can meet the handover conditions between midcourse guidance and terminal guidance off line. Each weight of NN and threshold of neural cell are optimized through genertic algorithm. The position coordinate of missile and tar?get is used as input of NN, the respective midcourse guidance instruction used as output after computation of NN. The simulation results show that midcourse guidance law based on neural network can be used to at?tack both fixed targets and maneuverable targets and also meet the handover conditions between midcourse guidance and terminal guidance.
