Abstract: The reaction behaviors of four kinds of Al/W/PTFE materials prepared by compression molding and sintering are studied by split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) and high speed photography. The results show that yield strength and failure strength are improved with the increase in mass fraction of W. The stress-strain curve of the material in quasi-static compression tests can be divided into elastic stage, hardening stage and failure stage. The impact reaction process of Al/W/PTFE material includes deformation, failure and combustion reaction. The calculated results indicate that the strain-rate reaction threshold and unit energy threshold of material increase with the increase in content of W.
