This paper discusses a mathematical model and associated computer program for the time series statistical simulation of tracked vehicle dyna-mic systems. The excitations of vehicle random dynamic systems —— the samples of road surface roughness time series are statistically simulated by use of the RAMA(p,q) models. The state equations of vehicle systems are solved using the Rugge-Kutta method. The samples of vibration response time series are obtained and processed by the probabilistic method to give the statistical characteristics, such as root-mean-square,autocorrelation function, power spectral density function, probability density function, etc. The results of such simulation tests on a computer have practical value for vehicle engineering development and have actually been applied in performance calculation programs of tracked vehicle systems engineering. The simulation sample data obtained can also be used in the optimum design of vehicles and in simulation tests of other dynamic systems resting on it.

On the basis of an analysis of the design requirements of vehicular heat exchangers, the authors put forward an optimum design method for exchangers that is better than conventional design methods, and establish a mathematical model for the optimum de.sign of vehicular heat exchangers. An example showing the design of an air-to-water heat exchanger with pipes and bands is given. The results are compared with those given by the conventional method, which shows that the method proposed is superior, giving better quality of design and saving time。

This paper presents a mechanical model for the humanp-i stol system taken as a six-degree multibody system consisting of four rigid bodies. Dynamic equations of the system are sets up in terms of Hanavanˊs human body mathematical model. A theoretical analysis and computer calculation are conducted for the response of the human-pistol system aroused by the pistol breech force, the results of which match smoothly with that of the experiments obtained through high speed photography. This gives a preliminary study for the development of universal handheld-weapon test fixt ures.

Based on an analysis of quantity relations between the burst height, high burst dispersion and the lethal area, this paper develops a mathematical model for determining the optimal burst height of HE projectiles and the high burst dispersion. Air burst HE projectiles are mainly used to fire at personnel in trench, A formula for calculating the impact area of an infantryman in standing position in trench is thus presented, the method to calculate the lethal area is discussed, and results of a number of projectile types are obtained.

This paper presented the technique of area-jump treatment within barrel and modification of the interior ballistic model is given for tlie barrel where the blank cartridge is used. The calculation results accords quite well with the experimental results. Tte modified model and its program are satisfactory for engineering applications of such interior ballistics problems。

Effects of linear yawing, nolinear damping and pitching moments on free flight no-spinning mortar projectiles are discussed in this paper. A yawing stability factor and a damping stability factor are introduced first. By these factors are described criteria that determine unexpected falling-down of free flight mortar projectiles.

Pyroljsis-Gas Chromatography(PGC or PyGC)is not only an important method for the study of a variety of polymers, but also a rapid and simple means for the identification of many organic compouds. In this paper, .PGC is used for the identification of explosives, including PETN,NC, GINA, HMX,RDX,Te,TNT,DNT,TNA,AP,TCH,HC〇 and TTZ. Results are seem to be satisfactory. The distinguised fingerprint pyrogram for each sample has been obtained, and experimental reproducibility has been investigated. Selection of pyrolysis temperature;, possibility of studying heat sensitivity and thermal decomposition of explosives by PGC are also discussed.

The compound 1, 1, 2, 2-tetrakisnitroaminoethane ( TANE ) in the medium of concentrated sulfuric acid was condensed with polyfomaldehyde to produce 2,6,8,12-tetranitro—2,6,8,12-tetraaza—4,10-dioxybiscyclo (5, 5, 01.7)dodecane ( biscycloether ),which reacted with difluoroamine in the presence of fuming sulfuric acid to give the title compound. The two compounds were characterized by their molecular weight, element analysis and IR spectrum respectively. The conditions and phenomena for formation of the two compounds were discussed.
