Aiming at the fact that cooling process of tanks is related to various physical actions of its solid parts or fluids, an integrative prediction conception has been presented for cooling performance of tanks from overall and comprehensive views. The integrative prediction model has been established in which engine combustion heat and part inction heat act as heat sources. Solid parts in power chain have been divided into heat nodes based on the lump mass. Heat transfers between nodes and coolant, nodes and lubricant, nodes and engine compartment air, nodes and engine intake air, nodes and engine combustion gas, nodes and engine exhaust gas, one noae and other nodes have been taken into ac?count .Coolant flow, lubricant flow and engine compartment air flow have also been taken into consid?eration .The prediction model can be resolved by using algorithms combined with boundary/ inner pa?rameter coupling and local/ unitary convergency. Example calculation shows that the prediction model can implement integrative prediction of cooling performance for tanks and armoured vehicles at differ?ent environment temperatures and running conditions with better precision.

Partial cylinder misfiring methoa is used to separate macnmery noise and combustion noise. rhe radiating noise sources are identified with near field scan technique and the main part of surface ra- aiating noise can be found. By modifying the advanced angle of fuel supply, combustion noise is re?duced. In order to decrease torsional vibration of the crankshaft, a new-designed torsional vibration damper is applied to the free-end of cranKshaft. By altering the shape of oil pan, radiation noise can al?so be suppressed to a certain extent.

A systematic control scheme for single motor crossdrive electric transmission tracked vehicles has been developed, and the analysis of the scheme was concretely described. Based on the difference of functions between electric transmission vehicular manipulators and traditional manipulators, the def?inition of manipulative signal was analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with the consideration of man-machine harmony. Then, the strategies and its details for propulsive motor control, steering mo?tor control and their concurrent control were given. At last, the accelerating and steering process of an electric tracked vehicle controlled by proposed control scheme was simulated. The simulating results reveal that the control scheme is feasible and it could make the venicle have excellent accelerating and steering capability.

A gun recoil magneto-rheological (MR) damper for a gun test application is studied m this paper. Iaking note of the shock characteristics of MR damper applied to gun recoil dynamics, a one-dimensional parallel-plate laminar flow model of the MR recoil damper was constructed based on Her- schel-Bulkley shear model. The finite element analysis of the magnetic field for a MR valve of the damper was done via ANSYS package, and the magnetic flux density of MR valve was obtained. Com?bining the MR fluid flow model and the FEM model of MR valve, the relation curves of damping force vs. piston velocity of the MR damper were obtained. Using the force-velocity characteristics of the MR damper, the recoil dynamic equation of 25 mm gun was solved, and the influence of MR fluid behavior index on the performance of MR recoil damper was evaluated. The simulation results indicate that the performance of this gun recoil damper satisfies the design requirements.

A multi-objective ootimization model of composite barrel was developed based on the finite element model and optimization method for the multi-objective design requirements during barrel design process. The fundamental frequency and structure weight of barrel are defined as two optimiza?tion objectives. The winding angle and tnickness of the composite layers are defined as design vari- aoles. And the improved non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II ) is employed as an opti?mization method. The Pareto solution set of composite barrel is obtained by optimal solving. The opti?mization examples show that the uniformly distributed Pareto front is obtained by using NSGA- II, and the corresponding design solution of composite barrel is improved in stiffness and weight.

Discrete time transfer matrix method for multibody system dynamics (MS-UT-TMM), a novel method for multi body dynamics simulation, has been developed in recent years. If using this method to simulate multibody dynamics, the global dynamical equations need not be developed, and such characteristics as lower order of global system matrix, fast computation speed, flexible modeling can also be obtained. To improve the numerical stability of MS-Dl- TMM, in this investigation, MS- DT-TMM and Riccati transform are com Dined. Then a new method is formed, namely Riccati MS- DT-TMM. So boundary value problem of space transformation in MS-Dl-丄'MM becomes the original value problem in Riccati MS-DT-TMM and the order of matrix can be reduced again. To shorten the computational time again, the intermediate variables of Riccati transfer matrix method used in vibra?tion mechanics are improved without changing calculation precision and memory storage. Compared with MS-DT-TMM, if using the proposed method, the numerical stability not only in space field but also in time field can be improved and the CPU time can be economized synchronously. The numerical example of one hundred thousand degree of freedom system to validate the method has been given. It can show that the proposed methoa is a powerful tool for engineering application in multibody system dynamics field.

The factors leading to auto-firing (AF) accidents in wedged breacn mechanisms of guns, starting with the force-bearing analysis of the firing device, or main reasons leading to such AF phe?nomenon were analysed. Based on tnis, the theory of the safety limit wear angle was put forward; and the safety limit wear angle was obtained. Corresponding measures were then put forward to compen?sate for the defects of safety in the traditional firing device, so as to prevent the AF accidents from happening. The preventive assumption is either the provision of an auxiliary safety mechanism, or the establishment of replacing a system and a testing criteria for the easily-damaged parts.

The cased telescoped ammunition (CTA) gun makes use of new principle of propulsion. Both its ammunition and the gun structures are different from the conventional guns. The seal system for the rotating chamber and the charge design are the two key techniques in a CTA gun. For a good interior ballistic performance, the authors studied the propulsion principle of a CTA gun. Based on experiments, the charge of a CTA gun was designed, and some schemes were given, such as the mate?rial ana the length of the flash tube, the material and the structure of the control tube and the lock pieces on the forehead of the pill. To ensure the reliability of the seal between the cnamber and the gun barrel, a novel self-impacted combined seal system was designed, which provides a good solution for the problem under radial transient high pressure. Furthermore, the authors describe some experimen?tal phenomena and especially some successful techniques and experiences testified by experiments.

The equilibrium compositions of TNT and TATB explosives detonation products are calcu?lated by minimizing the oibbs free energy and solving the chemical equiliDrium equations. The calcu?lated results are very close to that of BKW and LJD equation of state. We consider the four states of carbon, graphite, diamond, graphitelike, diamondlike, and calculate the Gibbs free energy of carbon by using our programs. The improved WCA equation and Ross’s variational perturbation theory were used for the equation of state of detonation products, and the detonation properties of TNT and TATB explosives were calculated. The calculated detonation velocity and pressure at CJ point match well with the experimental data.

The five kinds of moulds selected according to the military standard were inoculated to four sampling groups of military firearm and bullet by man-made measures. The first group was sealed up in plastic bag with wasaoi as preservative, the second group was not sealed up with wasabi, the third group was also not sealed up but without wasabi, and the fourth group was sealed up without wasabi as preservative. The test was conducted alternately under the conditions of temperature in (30 ±1) °C and humidity in (95 ± 5) % . The results after 56 d show that there is no corrosion for the first group and the mould propagation is few for the second group, the area of corrosion is about 0.04% ?0.53% . But, the areas of propagating moulds are 11.02% ?19.51% and 7.21 % ?14? 60% separately for the third and fourth groups, that are 64.2 ?191.7 times as much as the second group. It is concluded that selection of preservative and drier under the seal condition is the effective way to control the corrosion from moulds and reduce the mould harm to military firearm and bullet.

The resolution of infrared focus planar array (IFPA) is low and the edge of its output image is blurring at present. A new edge-preserving-based infrared image interpolation algorithm was pro?posed to get high quality and resolution infrared image. Firstly, the image edge is extracted, then the gray of these edge pixels is mapped to a new enlarged image. Secondly, the image is interpolated along the edge direction, and the non-edge area is bilinearly interpolated. After these steps, the whole opera?tion is finished. This algorithm not only enlarges the image smoothly, but also keeps the detail of the edge.

Integrated navigation for GPS/INS provides alternatives for long-term stability and high accuracy due to their complementary properties. A stand-alone navigation system with high accuracy will be of high cost. Integration of the medium accuracy sensors, with the properly integrated method, can acmeve higher accuracy and long term stability at a lower cost. It is the goal of the present project- TNDS (true north determination system) . The TNDS integrates MS860 and INS with a PC/104 embedded computer system processing the data. The INS error model including the proper error states for the actual physical system TNDS has been developed. Based on the model, a proposed GPS/INS reducedorder J^KF (extended kalman Filter) algorithm design for TNDS and marine tests were achieved. The tests show that the INS position errors are reduced from more than 100 m to 40 m after correction. The heading error a are reduced from 0.105° to 0.034° after correction. The accuracy in roll and pitch is also increased greatly by the integration. Whole set of tests show that the TNDS performance is significantly improved by GPS/INS reduced-order EKF algorithm.

As an emerging tool for signal processing, the linear canonical transform(LCT) proves itself to be more general and flexible than the Fourier transform as well as the fractional Fourier transform. So it can slove problems that can’t be dealt with well by the latter. In this paper, the definition of LCT and some special cases are given at first, followed by its properties as listed. Besides, the discrete linear canonical transform is introduced. The implication of LCT is illustrated finally, displaying LCT's potentials and capabilities in the field of signal processing.

For greatly improving the ability of the sonar detection system to detect the underwater moving target(UMT), FOCVSSBALE (fourth order cumulation variable step-size sign iteration based adaptive line enhancer) was proposed. A novel tandem-type adaptive line enhancer ( NTTALE), whose first level filter is the FOCVSSBALE whereas whose second level filter is a short-term autocor?relation based adaptive line enhancer (STABALE), has been developed. The proposed NTTALE has the ability to nandle undersea ambient noise twice, to enhance the UMT radiated line spectrum feature twice, and to track well time-varying signals. Theoretical analysis and simulation tests with the UMT- radiated data show that the NTTALE has tne excellent performances in suppressing non-Gaussian noise, enhancing line spectrum signals, and tracking time-varying signals compared with the single STABALE or FOCVSSBALE.

For the signal-to-interference-and-noise-ratio( SINR) equation based on the polarization ratio parameters, an optimal polarization scheme called zero differential orthogonal searching (ZDOS) was suggested and discussed in detail. There are three key points in ZDOS : the global optimal point of the SINR is aoproached to by the first optimization along a special line, then the searching processes are designed along two orthogonal lines to search the minimal differential in each direction, and this searching method uses only the last local optimal solutions simply. Many experiments were made, and the range of the parameters was given. These experimental results show that ZDOS scheme takes gen?erally several steps to reach the global optimum.

This paper devoted to the methods for evaluating the jamming effectiveness of smokescreen jamming devices on electro-optical imaging systems and eleclro-oplical guided weapons. The evaluation rules of jamming effectiveness were presented. For smokescreen jamming upon the electro-optical imaging system for observing or aiming, the jamming effects are graded into three rates according to the degrees of interference to target identification. Quantitatively, the correlation function is proposed as an evaluation index for smokescreen jamming effectiveness and the jamming effects are graded into three rates according to the correlation function of the two images before and after being jammed. For smokescreen jamming upon the imaging system for automatic tracking, the proposed criterion for jamming effectiveness is whether the imaging system under jamming could produce effective tracking errors, or its tracking error under jamming is three times greater than its tracking accuracy when there is no jamming. For smokescreen jamming upon the guided weapon, the proposed criterion for jamming effectiveness is whether the miss distance of the guided weapon under jamming is greater than its kill radius for specific targets or three times greater than its guidance accuracy (standard deviation) when there is no jamming. The jamming grades are determined according to the jamming success rate for a number of jamming tests.

In the series-study of tube-bending-forming, the experiment and finite element simulation analysis, aiming at the phenomenon of wall-thinning and the cross-section shape deformation of the bended-tube, were carried out. Based on the assumption of the plane-stress and three-dimensional stress state, the approximate calculation formulae of the mutual relation between the wall-thinning- ratio and the change-ratio of short axis of the cross-section were deduced respectively. Through bending-experiments, the calculative value of the formula is contrasted and verified. It is proven that the calculative value of the formula based on the assumption of tne plane-stress is relatively accurate. If the relative bending radius is bigger, the radial-deformation of the outer-wall material of bended-tube is smaller. The main reason which leads to the cross-section distortion of bended-tube is the thinning of the outer wall. Although there is a certain deviation in the calculative value of the formula, it can be applied to practice through further amendment with a great number of experiments.

Residual strength model is a proper methodology to describe the dynamic fatigue behavior of mechanical component. But it is always difficult to get the residual strength model of some components with complicated structure, such as engine crankshaft. In order to achieve the investigation, an exper?imental residual strength model based on simplified model and dynamic information tracing technology was brought forward. The model is based on modality analysis of the resonant test machine for crankshaft and fracture mechanics analysis of crack expanding behavior. To estimate the feasibility of the method, a simplified quantified study model was also built up according to some experiential knowledge of crankshaft’s fracture expanding characters. A sample investigation using the method was presented at last.

For improving the efficiency and accuracy of damage assessment, it is imperative to carry out the research on intelligence damage location with proper Al technology. Bayesian networks, as one of Al technology, was adopted. The damage location based on Bayesian network was studied and a case was analyzed. It is concluded that the efficiency and accuracy of damage assessment can be im-proved with Bayesian network since it can use as much damage information as possible to locate the damage reason. Also, it is more suitaole to apply Bayesian network to deal with the problem of damage assessment because the bidirectional reasoning can be done with it.

cooperative solution of multi-diagnosis agent for common task can effectively overcome some disadvantages of unitary diagnosis method or expert knowledge level, but also brings problems about synthesis and appraisement of diagnosis conclusions. In order to synthesize diagnosis conclusions of multi-agent system, the probability distribution function in evidence theory was restrained and reified, according to the characteristics of multi-agent diagnosis results, and the uncertainty function was intro?duced into evidence theory. On above foundation, the result synthesis steps of multi-diagnosis agent were presented, and the validity of this method was explained through analyzing three examples including consistent results, partial conflict results and complete conflict results. The syntheis of diag?nosis results with this method can raise the ability to classify the fault patterns in multi-agent diagnosis system ?

To remove the limitations of traditional scene graph structure in development of virtual maintenance training system (VMTS), a new scene graph structure is presented. The new scene graph structure is made up of objects, surfaces and polygons. The behavioral characteristics of virtual object, such as attribute information (A ), state (S), event list (E) and behavior (B), are repre?sented by 4-element structure く A, S,E9 B > . The collision between surfaces is implemented by us?ing of the presented scene graph, and constraints involved in collision detection could be recognized and solved. Transition between states of virtual object is described by PetrThet and it is translated into rules, thus causal relation between event and state is defined. Limitations of development of virtual maintenance training system (VMTS) with commercial software could be reduced by the new scene graph structure. Furthermore, collision detection between surfaces in VMTS is realized, and compli?cated maintenance operation could be implemented with characteristics of virtual object.

After analysing the optimistic synchronization implementation in HLA(high levelarachitec- ture), the RTI(run time infrastructure) interface performance parameter was calculated. During the analysis, it is discovered that the event processing method, restoration and storage methods are still the control point of the simulation time. In conclusion, when using the optimistic synchronization in HLA, the simulation time increases, and the Rl I interface performance parameter remains one of the factors. The statistic mean of KD-RTI interface performance parameter was measured by simulating.
