A dynamics model of the rigid and flexible coupling system for a terminal-sensitive submuni-tion was set up 'with Kane’s method. I he parachute was considered as a flexible body, the flexible dis-placement and position of parachute were expressed in terms of a modal spread method and a hybrid co-ordinate method, respectively, and the kinematics of terminal-sensitive submunition was analyzed. Ten generalized coordinates relative to the poses of terminal-sensitive submunition were chosen, partial velocities were cited, and the correlative generalized active forces, the generalized internal forces and the generalized inertial forces were deduced respectively. On the oasis of the Kane’s method, the ten degree of freedom dynamics equations for the coupled terminal-sensitive submunition were finally set up. Based on above mentioned equations, the ballistic results were' computed with MATLAB. This model can be used for expediently simulating and accurately analyzing the exterior ballistic of terminal- sensitive submunition, and providing the overall design of terminal-sensitive submunition with some helpful references.

The studies of the nitrolysis of tetraacetydiformylhexaazaisowurtzitane in concentrated nitric acid and complex acid of nitric and sulfic acid were separetely made. The main products of nitrolysis of TADF m the two medium systems are both hexanitrahexaazaisowurtzitane. By use of colum chromato-graphy methods, two different nitration by-products obtained from the two medium systems were iso-lated, the former is monoacety lpentanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane and the latter is mono- formylpentanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane. It is shown that reaction mechanisms of nitrolysis of TADF m concentrated nitric acid and complex acid of nitric and sulfic acid are different.

To predict the trafficability of tires on mechanized road equipment , the main structures of military mechanized road equipment; and the corresponding terramechanics behavior were discussed. Two failure modes including the U style sinkage mode and the V style sinkage mode were suggested. An energy method was proposed to judge the: trafficability. The drawbar pull work of U and V sinkage modes were computed and compared by defining the difference between the driving work and the resistance work. Thus the critical width of road beams were suggested. The influences of sinkage, adhesive coefncient and pressure-sinkage parameter were discussed. And the restrictions on sinkage, adhesive coefncient and pressure-sinkage parameter were suggested. Due to the consistency between the theoretical prediction and test, the energy method is effective to engineering practices.

For measuring velocity and impacting position of single fragment of warhead, a non-contact measuring method was proposed, in which a six-light-screen array, a location identifying board, a multi-channel chronograph, and a computer are used. A principle of measurement is described. The key of the system is a light screen array sensor which consists of six light screens with a certain geo-metrical parameters. When the fragment flies through the light screen array, the time when it passes through each of the screens is recorded by the multi-channel chronograph. According to the time data and the geometrical parameters of the array, the velocity vector and the location can be calculated im- meaiately. The method presented can be used to locate the fragment and to measure the velocity that is the real velocity on the fly orientation of fragment. It can be also used for measuring velocity of frag-ment group after further research on engineering.

Benefits optimization is one of the most important problems to a development organization. Development organizations hope to accept more development missions to gain more profits ? Much more accepted missions may be delayed due to limited resources in the development activity, which leads to huge economy loss. The mission accepting strategy was studied by establishing a queuing network model of development organization, which depends on alternative upper limit of the missions in the first process at the moment of new mission arrival. A solution was also given for the model. The deci-sion-making approach is simple operationally and suitable for the system, of wmch service ability dif-ference between the first and the key processes is not great. An example was given to demonstrate the approach.

A physical model based on the construct and operating principle of permanent magnet re- tarder for analyzing the non-stationary thermal field of retarder rotor in automobile was estabnsned, and the boundary conditions were defined. A formula of the non-stationary thermal field was derived using the Laplace transformation. At last, a bench test was performed. It is found that the testing da-ta is coincident with the analytical one. The non-stationary thermal field can be analyzed and an exact relation can be reflected by this formula. The rotor can be optimized and the temperature rise of the ro-tor can be decreased, so the brake performance stability can be improved by this research.

System reliability assessment and experimental design methods are proposed. Under the hy-potheses of log-normal distribution of system prior reliability, confidence lower-bound of system relia-bility can be obtained by taking full advantage of component test information and system configuration. Three sensitivity indices are presented to analyze the impact of component- level test data on system- level reliability. These indices .provide rich information for assessing system reliability improvement strategies. The simulation example shows that the method is reasonable.

All spacecrafts in low orbit are subject to hypervelocity impacts of meteoroids and space de-bris, which can in turn lead to its significant damage and catastrophic failure. An investigation into the impact damage characteristics has become an important problem for spacecraft protection design. The damage characteristics of the hypervelocity impact of Al-spheres to the rear wall of Al-Whipple shield were studied by the methods of experiment and numerical simulation. By comparing experiment data with numerical simulation results from AUTODYN—2D, it is found that the former is consistent with the latter fully. The impact damage law of rear wall of Al-Whipple snield by hypervelocity impact of Al-spheres with the projectile diameters, impact velocity and protection space was analyzed, and the leading factors which affect the damage of rear wall were proposed.

The finite element (FE) analysis of structural strength and stiffness for a special-purpose ve-hicle was proposed. A turret on the vehicle body can rotate round its seating, and has a special con-straint relation with the body. So the FE analysis is traditionally a large-scale nonlinear contact prob-lem. It is time-consuming to solve it. In order to solve the problem, the DOF coupling method was used to simulate the mechanical characteristics of ball bearing between the vehicle body and its turret. Thus, the mechanical properties oi the whole vehicle structure were truly simulated using the body and turret as a system. The vehicle is subject to the following working loads : recoil forces from different angles which the turret is subject to and road obstacle impact with an acceleration of 1Og which the whole vehicle is subject to. From the analyzed results, it is concluded that the static strength of struc-ture is satisfactory, and a theoretical basis is provided for weight-reduction design. The present method is effective, and can also be applied to other similar large contact problems.

To satisfy the need of hardware-in-the-loop simulation of four-element infrared seeker, a method of dynamic infrared scene generation based on direct signal injection was proposed. Infrared scene signals generated by model calculation are composed of target movement, release of jamming pro-jectile and complex background of sky or ground. The signals are directly injected into the electronic cabin of seeker for verification and modification of the tracking and anti-jamming algorithms, without a complicated target simulator consisting of black body, turntable, and optical system. The dynamic infrared scene generation techniques based on the four-element infrared guidance principle and the modeling of infrared scene were investigated. Moreover, the implementation of actual simulated signal source was given to prove the feasibility of method.

HNIW was respectively synthesized with TADBIW by use of a sub-nitrolysis/ mtrolysis one- pot method and with TADFIW by use of a mixed acid method. The main impurities of HNIW were separated using a column chromatography and confirmed as PNMAIW and PNMFIW via FTIR, 1H NMR, MS and element analysis. The DSC and kinetics calculations show that the initial and peak decomposition temperatures of PNMFIW are higher than those of PNMAIW and the apparent decom-position active energy of the former is twice as much as that of the latter. The reason maybe is that the formyl on the hexabasic ring is more stable than the acetyl on the pentabasic ring to the cage structure for FNIW with one substituting group.
