Abstract: A new technique of monitoring the debris in lubrication oil using computer vision was introduced. On the base of it, the debris monitoring system has been developed. The principle and some key techniques of the system were presented. The experimental result was also given. The developed system can be considered as an advanced means for status inspection and fault diagnosis of the aero-engines based on the oil analyzing.
