Performance Simulation Analysis of the United Brake System of Automobiles

Abstract: Thinking of the influence factors, such as the coefficient, by which the revolving mass is transformed into linear mass, and slip ratio, we set up the mathematic model. The simulation model was set up by the Simulink module of Matlab. The result of simulation shows that the braking distance is shortened by the united brake system in the emergent brake, the braking ability of the automobile is improved; the eddy current retarder exhausts the most of energy of the automobile, reduces the load of main brake and the wear of it in the non-emergent brake; the automobile can run at steady and eco-nomic speed on the hillside path with continuous brake oi the united brake system.
