Abstract: In order to master the thermal characters of tank armor, the tank armor is divided into many units based on lumped parameter method. Thermal balance equations are established and the thermal networks of the armor are constructed. Then a computing method of thermal balance is also determined. The temperature of a certain type of tank armor is computed in design, the high temperature areas with distinct thermal features are reached, and influence reason is analyzed. The temperature of a certain type of tank armor is measured through experiments, and then it is compared with computing temperature. The maximum deviation between them is 6.92%, which proves that the model is reasonable.
