Abstract: The propagation problem of noise signal is solved using the decomposition and synthesis of broadband signals in frequency domain based on normal mode theory. The influences of included angle and distance between submarine and jammer, and the emplacing depth of jammer in given battlefield situation and ocean environment on jamming effect are studied. The result shows that the emplacing depth of jammer has a important influence on the jamming effect in far-field, which was ignored in previous researches. On the basis of the research, the optimum location and depth of noise jammer are obtained via further calculations.
