Abstract: In order to study the anti-explosion capacity of nonmetallic material, explosion of shelled explosive was analyzed theoretically, and a method to determine the protective radius was proposed. The protective radius of damage and protective radius of expansion were both considered. The explosion experiments were carried out to validate the anti-explosion capability of new type safety equipment. Both overpressure of the explosion shock and noise were measured. The experiment results demonstrate that the new type safety equipment has better performances in attenuating shock and noise.
