Reliability Design and Analysis Methodfor Complex Mechanical System Based on Physics of Failure

Abstract: The mechanical systems for weapon equipment have the following characteristics:complex structure,multi-failure modes,strong correlation,and work under complex and severe environmental stresses, such as vibration,shock,and high temperature,etc. Starting from the research on the failure mechanism of complex mechanical system and its key components,the influence of working conditions,environmental stress and time on system degradation or failure is analyzed,and the reliability models of component and system are established by combining simulation and experimentation. A set of reliability design and analysis processes and methods for complex mechanical systems based on physics of failure are proposed. This technology includes the system failure mode and mechanism analysis,the establishment of failure physical model,the reliability design and analysis of parts or structures,and the reliability and design analysis of mechanical system or mechanism,etc. The reliability degree and life of the system can be effectively predicted and evaluated by applying this technology to the key system of weapon equipment,and the improvement measures can be proposed to improve the reliability level of weapon system.
