Research on's Opening Distance of AHEAD Ammunition

Abstract: To solve the problem that the opening distance of an advanced hit efficiency and destruction(AHEAD)ammunition is set to a fixed value in practical use,which can't achieve the maximum damage efficiency for different targets. A method for analyzing the influence of AHEAD ammunition's opening distance on the damage eefect of targe the target. A mathematical model of opening distance and terminal damage can be got by establishing the moving trajectory models of AHEAD ammunition before and after opening,a mathematical model of AHEAD ammunition's opening angle and a typical target model.Numerical simulation is carried out by using Matlab software to analyze the influence of opening distance of AHEAD ammunition on target destruction probability under the conditions of different shooting distances and different target characteristics. the rule of opening distance of AHEAD ammunition achieving the maximum damage effect in different operational situations can be got.
