Abstract: As growth of information and intelligence, the multidisciplinary decomposition and exponential growth of software code lead to the increase in the demand analysis and design errors, schedule delay and cost overrun. The problem in the development process of missile system was analyzed.A V-shaped process model that uses model-based system engineering (MBSE) method is proposed,in which the multi-level specification and test are replaced with modeling and simulation. The propsed model contain three levels (operation, system and component) and three views (performance, test and design). The sample model established by system model language(SYSML) is demonstrated. The activities, components and key measures of support environment for an idea MBSE development process are presented. The results show thatMBSE method can be used to decrease the demand analysis and design errors and the dependence on the flight test for the missile development, reduce the development cost, and promote the advance in information and intelligence techniques.
